YULLA Academy was founded by an educator and community leader with a deep commitment to nurturing both academic excellence and strong character. With a background in urban education and a focus on equity, belonging, and student-centered learning, the founder brings professional experience from both the United States and international contexts. In addition to work in education, she serves as a Principal within her local Islamic community, where she has witnessed the powerful impact of values-based education and strong relationships on children and families. YULLA Academy was created out of a passion for learning and a desire to establish an Islamic school where her own children—and all children—can thrive academically while growing confidently in their faith and identity. The school’s vision is rooted in faith in action, a love of learning, and impactful service—empowering students to apply their knowledge through collaboration, leadership, and resilience to benefit their local and global communities and the broader ummah.
